Beliefs

We believe in one God, Creator and Sustainer of all things, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Ge 1:1; Ps 90:2; Php 1:14; Jn 1:1, 14; Ac 5:3-4)

We believe the Bible, which consists of the Old and New Testament, is inspired of God, inerrant in the original documents, and complete. It is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice. (2Ti 3:16; 2Pe 1:19-21; 1Co 2:9-13; Ro 16:25-26)

We believe in the existence of a personal devil, Satan, who was created perfect, but willfully sinned and set himself against God and His creation. We believe the ultimate defeat of Satan has been determined through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (Mt 4:1; 1Pe 5:8; He 2:14; 1Co 15:20-28; Ep 1:19-22; Re 20:1-16)

We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin, and, in that sense, is lost; this is true of all men. Man’s sin separates him from God and there is nothing man can do to make himself acceptable to God. (Ge 1:26,27; 3:1-13; Is 59:2; Ro 3:20, 23; 5:12; Titus 3:3-5)

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became a man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, in order that he might reveal God and redeem sinful men. (Lk 1:30-35; Jn 1:1, 14, 18; 17:26; Ro 3:24; 1Pe 1:18-19)

We believe that Jesus Christ died upon the cross as a complete and substitutionary sacrifice for the sin of the world; He arose from the dead in the body in which He was crucified; He ascended into heaven in that body glorified, where He is now interceding for those who believe; He will come again personally and visibly to set up His kingdom and to judge the living and the dead. (Jn 19:17-20:31; Ac 1:9-11; Php 2:5-8; 1Jo 5:10; Jn 14:1-3; Ro 8:34; Mt 24:30; Re 1:7, 11:15; 2Ti 4:1)

We believe that salvation is a gift of God. Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for the salvation of man. Redemption is wholly by the blood of Christ, and salvation is by grace, through faith alone in our Lord Jesus Christ. Everyone who receives this gift possesses eternal life and, being justified, sanctified, and sealed with the Holy Spirit, is safe and secure for all eternity. (Jn 3:16; Ep 2:8-10; Jn 3:3-8; Titus 3:5; 1Pe 1:18-19; Ro 5:1; 1Co 6:11; Ep 1:11-14)

We believe the Holy Spirit indwells, sanctifies, gifts and empowers believers for service, enabling them, through obedience to the Word of God, to live lives of increasing holiness. We believe signs and wonders were given in the apostolic era to authenticate and confirm the apostles’ message. Today however, the Scripture is the sole test of the validity of a man’s message. (Ro 8:9; 2Th 2:13-14; Ro 8:12-14; Ep 4:4-16; He 2:1-4; 2Ti 3:16-17; Jn 17:17)

We believe the Church consists only of those who are born again, who are baptized by the Holy Spirit into one body at the time of regeneration. Its mission is to witness concerning its Head, Jesus Christ, preaching the gospel among all nations until the time it is caught up to meet the Lord in the air before He appears to set up His kingdom. (1Co 1:2; Ep 1:11-14; 1Co 12:12-13; Mt 28:18-20; 1Th 4:13-18)

We believe there will be a resurrection of the saved and of the lost, of the saved unto eternal life, and of the lost unto eternal and conscious judgment. (Jn 5:25-29; 1 Co 15:12-24; Re 20:11-15)
