Without Reservation?
So what's with the name? Some people get it, and some don't. It's simply descriptive of how we want ourselves and others to be as together we follow Jesus Christ. For those who really know who they are and what it is that God has done for them, it's simply not enough to be a casual Christian. It's not enough to follow Him when it feels good, or when we are in the company of those who would understand. Jesus' terms of discipleship were very clear and simple. If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up the cross and follow me. So what about you? Are you willing to follow Christ without reservation? What makes the Good News so good? These days it's pretty hard to tell. That's because so many are telling people the Good News of Jesus as if there were no bad news. Does the Bible really talk about Hell and Judgment? Why is Jesus called the Savior? What is He saving us from? This is important stuff. After all, if there's really nothing to worry about, we don't want to wrongly sound the alarm. On the other hand, what if it's true? Would it change how you think about the Gospel... and how you share it with others?
