An Orphan’s Christmas – Soapy Dollar (Mescalero Apache)

posted on , under Stories

Soapy was abandoned at birth on the streets of Albuquerque, New Mexico and eventually ended up in a boy’s ranch – a place for homeless and troubled boys. But that doesn’t mean he has no memories of Christmas. In fact, he traces the significance and direction of his life back to what this day celebrates. You won’t want to miss what this former orphan found in the Christ of Christmas. You’ll also hear the classic song What Child is This sung by Denise Spaargaren.

I became a Christian back in 1986. From there I attended Central Indian Bible College. I am enrolled with the Fond du Lac band of Ojibwe here in Minnesota. Would you please send updated testimonies from Storytellers. Thank you for your ministry. The Lord bless & provide to continue this much needed work in His name.

Thank you for the testimonies through the ministry of Storytellers. I believe that a big factor in Natives resistance to the gospel message is unforgiveness. Unity in prayer for a breakthrough will be needed.
